Civil and Mercantile: We have significant experience in strategic planning, monitoring and defense, trials of civil and commercial nature, such as the fulfillment of contracts, billing, credit, performance guarantees, corporate disputes, commercial tenders, leases, distribution, and claims for damages. 2. Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution: Our lawyers have participated in relevant arbitrations, providing advice to various companies and public entities in disputes related to investments, shareholder agreements, telecommunications, ports and international trade, both nationally and internationally. Injunction and Constitutional Disputes: Our practice has also been focused on injunctions and constitutional protection of individuals and collective rights protected by our Constitution against the arbitrariness of administrative and judicial authorities, such as guarantees of due process, guarantees of equality, economic and social guarantees and the right to an adequate environment. 5. Product Liability: An important area of expertise in the firm is the release of our product liability’s law. Our lawyers have worked consistently in representing companies in liability claims related to products placed on the market. In coordination with foreign law firms, we have developed strategies, advocacy organization, as well as supervision and case management. Some of our attorneys have attended training programs abroad related to the preparation of cases for damages and class actions. In particular, our firm has participated in conferences, seminars and working groups convened by the Mexican Senate to draft a new constitutional reform and a bill on class actions on consumer relations, financial services and environmental protection. 6. International Trade: We have significant experience in litigation related to the international sale of goods within the scope of Mexican law and the Vienna Convention of 1980. Related to class actions: In matters related to class actions, the Firm has procured strategic alliances with U.S. law firms and highly regarded Institutions specialized in the defense of companies such as Shook, Hardy & Bacon, L.L.P., the Defense Research Institute and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Mr. Ricardo Rios Ferrer has represented the Mexican Bar of Attorneys before universities, the Legislative Power and the Judicial Power regarding the incorporation of said juridical figure into the Mexican legal system. The Firm has also participated actively in forums and conventions organized by such institutions in matters related to class actions. The Firm was invited by the Chamber of Senators in the Mexican Congress in order to serve as advisors during the workshops that took place to amend article 17 of the Mexican Constitution and incorporate class actions in Mexico.
